As you may be aware Dr John Wedgwood and Dr Brenda Bates are both planning to retire in the near future. We now have pleasure in announcing the details of the new Brailsford & Hulland Medical Practice partnerships.
Dr John Wedgwood will be retiring on 31st July after 31 years a partner. Dr Wedgwood joined the practice as a trainee in 1986, and joined as a partner on 1st August 1987. He has celebrated many successes throughout his partnership; including his Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He will be greatly missed by patients and staff and we wish him the very best.
Dr Bates will be staying as a partner until she retires at the end of March 2019. However from 1st August Dr Bates will be reducing to four sessions per week.
We are delighted to announce that our new partners will joining us on 1st August 2018.
Dr Deborah Kennedy.
Dr Kennedy qualified in 1992. She has extensive experience as a General Practitioner at Ashbourne Medical Practice. Some of you may already have met Dr Kennedy as she has provided locum cover for us over the last few years and lives within the local area.
Dr Rowan Chamberlain.
Dr Chamberlain qualified in 2002. She has provided General Practitioner services in several local practices; currently as a salaried GP in Mickleover. Dr Chamberlain has two young children and lives in Mickleover. She is very excited to be joining the team.
When the details have been arranged, we will circulate details for Dr Wedgwood’s retirement party. Please hold the date which will be on Saturday 28th July in the evening. There will be a comments book at the Brailsford surgery from 1st June 2018; (this will be sent to Hulland Ward during the sessions Dr Wedgwood provides there) should you wish to leave comments and well wishes for Dr Wedgwood.
We will also be holding an open morning “Meet & Greet” with Dr Kennedy & Dr Chamberlain, Saturday 6th October from 9.30am at Brailsford Medical Centre.
