Have your say on local support services

Our Social prescribing team are asking for patient feedback in relation to what type of support people would like to see in the local area. This gives them a good idea of service gaps and enables them to look at filling these gaps.

Live well with pain clinic dates 2024/2025

Do you live with a long term health condition which causes you pain? If so there are some local sessions being held over the coming months at Ashbourne and Wirksworth to offer help and support.

  • The sessions are free.
  • They are relaxed, non-judgmental sessions where you can access peer support in your community.
  • The focus is on finding positive ways forward in self-managing long-term conditions which cause pain.
  • Anyone with a long-term health condition which cause pain are welcome to the sessions.
  • We don’t advise on medications or treatments and won’t discuss these with your healthcare professional as the sessions are confidential.

Please let the team know you are attending by emailing or calling in advance as we anticipate that these will be popular sessions – details below.

No Heating at the surgery

We are advising anyone who is attending the surgery over the coming days to dress warmly as we currently have no central heating.

Please be assured the building is safe and the leak has been isolated.

We are in communication with suppliers and the landlords to resolve the issue but anticipate that it will unfortunately, not be a “quick fix”!

If you are attending then surgery then you are welcome to wait in your car rather than our Reception area.

Please check in as normal at Reception to let us know you are here for your appointment and let them know that you will wait in your car.

The clinician will then call our mobile when they are ready for you.

Road works starting next week

We have been informed that the road to the practice will remain open but that there will be a one way system in place. Patients will have to turn right when leaving the car park and drive along Church lane and Pools Head lane to re join the A52.

We also anticipate that there will be limited road parking during this time.

As an alternative where possible patients are able to park at the “Brailsford & Ednaston Institute” (Main Road, Brailsford, DE6 3DA) and walk to the practice. This is along the main road about 10 mins walk.

We will post regular updates on progress and any changes.
